No time to decorate? No money in the budget? Here is my fast, frugal, fun, and festive Christmas porch decor! A few years ago, I added a bench to my porch around Christmas time and I needed something to decorate with to make it festive… but there was no money left in the budget for decorations! I racked my brain to come up with something super inexpensive but still festive! (This post may contain affiliate links. Here is my porch without any decorations… just the bench:
So… I looked at what I had and added to it… I had lighted garland to go around the door and a lighted wreath but that was it! I decided to buy 3 rolls of wrapping paper from the dollar store and found a lot of empty boxes. My porch is somewhat covered so this works very well for this area. I wrapped several boxes adding rocks or blocks of wood to them to give them weight in case it gets windy!
Here is it halfway through decorating:
I then added a string of lights around the bench and a small Christmas tree I found at a yard sale.
Here it is after I was finished:
And here it is at night!
That’s it! Fast and easy and very inexpensive! I think I spent less than $10.00 total:
- $3.00 – wrapping paper
- $2.00 – string of lights
- $2.00 – Christmas tree at yard sale
- boxes were free! I will recycle any that get wet or damaged!
Our Federal Express delivery driver said that this is the most festive porch he has seen in our area! It’s fun and very inexpensive! I hope this gives you some inspiration to try something new!
