Welcome to the Front Porch! Lynn and I will take time on Fridays to sit with you on the front porch and just talk about what is going on in our lives! This will be a time to reflect on the week or look ahead to what is coming up! I can’t wait!
Here in Missouri, the leaves are starting to change and we have had some cool nights already. The temperature is in the 70’s during the day and 50’s at night…perfect for getting ready for fall! So…I pulled out my fall decorations for my front porch:
It really makes it feel like fall! My favorite is this: Scarecrow Sam!
I painted him about 15 years ago…my one and only attempt at painting like this! He’s not perfect…but I love him! See the fall pillows on the bench…check back tomorrow for the tip of the week on how to get quick and inexpensive “pillows” for your front porch!
We also celebrated my grandson’s 3rd birthday this week! He had a great time at his party…it was all “monster truck” themed… complete with a “dirt track” cake and monster truck tires (doughnuts)! It is so hard to believe he is 3 already… it just seems like yesterday he was born!
Lynn and I are really looking forward to going to fall festivals here in the Ozarks. The first one is this weekend and I can’t wait to see all of the crafts, find the kettle corn, and just enjoy the fall weather! We will be posting about two of our favorite festivals and will share our day, lots of pictures, and tips we have learned to make the festival experiences more enjoyable!
Have a great weekend!!
