We made wedding favor gift boxes! We are getting ready for the wedding! It is Saturday, October 28th and we are in working on the final preparations. We wanted to have favors that looked rustic yet simple. So we chose these gift boxes that we found at Hobby Lobby:
They are the His & Hers brand and they cost $7.99 for a 12 count package; however, we caught them 50% off so they were only $3.99 for 12 – that’s only $.33 each! They are 3″ wide and 5″ tall. We printed round labels that we purchased at Staples and they say “A Sweet Ending to a New Beginning”, “Thank you”, their names and the date of the wedding. They coordinated really well with the wedding invitations and were the perfect size to hold several pieces of candy.
As you can see, we had several to fill before we were done! Four of us worked together and had all 84 of them filled and tied in less than an hour! Many hands make light work!
As we were working we came up with other ideas that these little boxes would be great for:
- They would make a great advent calendar – label 1-25 and put something small in each one!
- Gift card holders – these are the perfect size to hold a gift card – for any occasion! I also think they would look great hanging on the Christmas tree!
- Co-worker/Neighbor gifts for Christmas – fill with candy or treats and have on hand for when a small gift is needed. I added Christmas ribbon for a festive look!
- Fill with chocolate and give to anyone who needs a little treat – maybe a special Monday or Happy Friday gift… because….we all need chocolate!
We love the way these turned out – and they were fast and easy to make! I definitely will be using more of these!
